This recipe of paddu takes me down the memory lane , As kids we use to enjoy a similar version of paddu, famously known in andhra as punugulu. A rainy evening always calls for the hot and tasty snacks.One of those simple yet tasty foods is this paddu/ paniyaram/guliyappa.   If you ever had idli batter left after making your regular breakfast then reserve it for paddu and try it once.The left over batter is blessing for paddu lovers as that indulges a mild sour flavour into this Paddu.

      Instructions
      1. Mix the grated carrots, sliced onion, ginger into the batter , add salt and a little water for adjusting consistency.You can also make plain paddu without adding veggies.
      2. Take a nonstick paddu pan , place it on stove with medium flame.Once the pan is hot , add a drop of oil into all the pits and grease them properly.
      3. Now add batter to each of pit till it covers 3/4th of the depth of each pit.
      4. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 10- 12 minutes.Now turn each of the paddu with help of a spoon and cover with lid again.
      5. Reduce the flame to low and let it cook for 5- 6 minutes.Now the hot, lip smacking, tasty paddu are ready to be served.
      6. Enjoy it with coconut chutney or any other of your choice.
