Tamarind Poha / Atukula Pulihora

Poha recipes are very quick and easy to make. Not much of pre preparation is required to make tamarind poha. It is also offered as prasadam during festive occasions. Kids love to have it as there are no much spicy ingredients. Working women can always have this recipe handy for breakfast.

Beaten rice is also rich in iron, that helps in growth of kids. Many other versions are also there which include atukula parvannam , podi atukulu etc..I was not sure of making this recipe but the name itself forced me to try this variation. The tamarind pulp along with seasoning can be stored in a air tight container upto 15 days in a refrigerator.

This pulp can also be used for pulihora, which is made using cooked rice.
